Jantzen's Jarehead Jixer
This is DEI's rendition of Pimp My Ride. While Jantzen McLellan gets transformed at Parris Island into a well disciplined, little green amphibious monster (aka Marine), we decided to transform his tired Suzuki 600 GSXR into the "Jarhead Jixer". The idea came from Brennan Hogan and Cameron McLellan who came to DEI with the project. We reached out to our resources in the motorcycle world to get discounted parts needed for the project but in the end it was good old hard work that got'R done.
The transformation included: All New Custom Fairings, windshield, head lights, tail lights, side marker lights, carbon fiber exhaust, wheel stripes, grips, frame sliders, tank protector, mirrors, license plate lights, thermal insulation, oil change, air filter, tune up, carb cleaning, exhaust wrap, Radiator Relief, and custom graphics. We took pics along the way, so the pictures move from before to the final result. We will update the gallery once we have pics of Jantzen with his bad hair cut and bad attitude with the bike.
I would like to thank the following people and companies for their help in the project: Brennan Hogan, Patrick Stasko, Mike Zenone, Matt & Jack Markley, Kelli & Cameron McLellan, Two Brothers Racing, CycleGear, MotoSport, Honda of Avon, Motorsports247.com and Cleveland Hockey Supply.
Jantzen has made it through the crucible and will be graduating from Parris Island on Oct.5 , 2007. We will present it to him that night as he returns to Chagrin Falls. His Mother said, " He can see it but can't ride it until the next day...post celebration". We are very proud of Jantzen for volunteering to serve his country, especially in these times.
